The History

This relay is the brainchild of FiA Einstein who encouraged her friend ToTo (who is from Norway, SC) to do a relay race through her hometown to raise money, support, and awareness for Three Crosses Outreach in Norway, SC.

Three Crosses Outreach has been in existence since 1999. The ministry has sponsored FREE summer day camps every summer since then (including the summer of 2020 AND the summer after our building burned down.) God has been good and faithful to the ministry of Three Crosses, and the Scandinavian Relay is one more example of that.

Through the funds raised by the relay, Three Crosses plans to

  • Expand our mentoring program (we currently have 4 young men enrolled in one-on-one mentoring with our Program Director)
  • Take more kids to summer camp in 2024 (we sent 8 this past summer free of charge for their families and hope to take 12 this summer)
  • Help establish a vibrant PTO at one of the local schools (Hunter-Kinard-Tyler School)
