Scandinavian Relay 2026

About the Race

January 24, 2026

Through Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, SC

40 miles, 8 legs

The Scandinavian Relay is a 40-mile race through the charming South Carolina towns of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. The distance is divided into 8 legs, which can be split between team members.

(If you’d like to run an ultra-race with 1 or 2 team members, please contact the race director, Laura Broussard.)

The History

This relay is the brainchild of FiA Einstein, who encouraged her friend ToTo (who is from Norway, SC) to do a relay race through her hometown to raise money, support, and awareness for Three Crosses Outreach in Norway, SC.

The Scandinavian Relay benefits Three Crosses Outreach in Norway, SC. Three Crosses has been an integral part of the community in Norway since its inception in 1999. Three Crosses provides a summer day camp for elementary students and mentoring for eight male students throughout the school year. Two days a week, we provide after-school tutoring for the mentees and a separate tutoring class for four young ladies. We also provide backpacks for all of our campers and food for families in need.

For our 2026 race, we hope to raise $40,000 to do the following:

  • Hire a full-time mentor to walk alongside even more young people and their families.
  • Purchase a newer, more reliable van to be able to safely transport campers and mentees.
  • Send 20 children to overnight summer camp.

The Scandinavian Relay team is thrilled to partner with the organizers of the Dam to Dam Relay to launch the Steadfast Relay Series. Together, these three unique races share one mission: to deliver an unforgettable race experience for runners of all levels– whether first-time participants or seasoned athletes while making a meaningful impact. Each event raises funds to support worthy non-profits, combining the spirit of competition with the power of giving back.
